Dr. Edgard Nunez

Medical Director

Dr. Edgard Nuñez is a Family Medicine/General Family Medicine doctor in Miami, Florida and has been practicing medicine for over 20 years.

He is the Medical Director for Agape Network and the Deputy Chief Medical Officer at Community Health of South Florida Inc. and faculty member of Family Medicine Residency Program at Brodes Hartley Teaching Health Center.

Born in Managua, Nicaragua, his motivations to become a physician stem from his early childhood experiences when he admired the passion for medicine from his family doctor in his hometown of Corinto, Nicaragua.

Dr. Nuñez earned his Doctor of Medicine and Surgery degree from the Universidad Autonoma of Honduras in 1983.A few years later, Dr. Nuñez immigrated to the United States where he continued his journey as a physician. He completed his residency in Family Medicine at the Texas Tech University Health of Science Center.

Dr. Nuñez is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Florida Academy of Family Physicians and Nicaraguan American Medical Association. Fluent in Spanish and English, he is often a CHI spokesman for international and national news coverage on community health care and the migrant and Hispanic population.

An enthusiastic fan for boxing, basketball, soccer and baseball, Dr. Nuñez also enjoys theater and cinema.
